Sometimes when we respond to God’s call we feel as though we are going in the wrong direction, or even that we’re on the wrong road altogether. This quiet day takes Isaiah 30:21 (Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”) as its starting point and will emphasise the importance of seeking God, journeying and finding the path, which isn’t always the one we expected, through guided meditations and resourced quiet times, with an opportunity to be still, know and discover.
Revd David Guest led several quiet days at St Benedict’s while serving as the Vicar of Otford, but he is now Rector of All Saints, Bearsden, in Glasgow. He has 40 years’ experience of leading quiet days and retreats as well as spiritual direction. He currently offers spiritual direction linked to the London Centre for Spiritual Direction.
The cost for the day will be £25. Refreshments will be available from 9.30am and the day will start at 10.00am. The day will end at 3pm. Tea and coffee will be available all day but please bring a packed lunch.
