Joy and Despair – the life and poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins

Join us at the Benedictine monastery of St Augustine’s Abbey, Chilworth for a special evening to learn about the greatest of the Victorian poets, Jesuit Priest and devout yet conflicted Catholic. This is a repeat event as so many people expressed interest the last time we put this on.

The evening aims to raise funds to help St Augustine’s Abbey, Chilworth attract new monks and pay for repairs in the Abbey Church, including our organ. Please be generous with your donations on the evening. Thank you.
