There are a number of definitions for the word ‘provision’, depending on which dictionary you refer to! One of the meanings is to make sure that someone has the things they need. As human beings we all have the basic need for food and water, clothing and shelter. There are, of course, others.
The word proclamation is defined as ‘a public announcement about something important, often of national importance’. As it is not a word that is currently in frequent use, I wonder what thoughts or images flow through your mind when you hear or see this word? The Town Crier of bygone ages ringing his bell and shouting, “Oyez, Oyez, Oyez’? Politicians and Presidents making announcements of national importance? Or something else!

A few mornings back I was praying and talking over with God about the things I am passionate about, my hopes and longings. Those things which have not yet been fulfilled in my life. I was asking Him that if these longings, or desires are really from Him, as I believe they are, that He would fulfil them in my life.
My friend and I had arranged to meet up for a coffee one morning this week. We chose the cafe which is attached to a local hospice where patients receive palliative care. The cafe is open to anyone and the profits go directly to the care of the patients. My friend and I enjoy meeting up there. It has a lovely atmosphere, it’s bright, relaxing and peaceful.
